How do I activate my card?

To be able to use your Mastercard, you first need to activate the card. When you receive the card, it comes with a letter containing instructions on how to activate it. You activate it via online banking or in our app, where you can also see your PIN code.

If you have instead received a store-affiliated card, you do not need to activate it.

Option 1: Activate via online bank or the app

1. Log in to online bank or the Resurs app with e-identification.

2. Go to the account linked to your card.

3. You will see a list of cards – showing whether the card is Active or Inactive.

4. Click on the card and select "Activate card".

5. You can also view and change your PIN code.

Option 2: If you do not have e-identification

• Contact customer service to receive a pre-set PIN code by mail.

• Activate the card in-store by inserting it into a card terminal and entering the PIN code during a purchase.

Important to know:

• The cardholder (the person to whom the card is issued) must activate their card themselves.

• Do you have an additional card? Then you log in yourself, activate the card, and choose your own PIN code.

• The primary account holder however, manages other settings for the additional card.
